POSITION: Senior Solutions Architect

SALARY: negotiable

LOCATION(s): New York, NY

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our client in the technology industry is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join their cloud services division. The incumbent will be responsible for leading technical pre-sales support and consultations in the realm of data centers & colocation services. The Senior SA will be responsible for developing solution designs and proposals for cloud & managed service solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
• At least 5+ years experience with cloud solutions
• Amazon Web Services experience required
• Expert knowledge of enterprise-level distributed systems & client-server architectures
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications: colocation & data center environments
• Experience working with SaaS & SOA models
• Strong knowledge of VMware ESXi, Xen, KVM
• Wide experience with various OS’s: Windows, Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols: IPv4/6, TCP/IP, iSCHI, etc
• Strong knowledge of web protocols such as XML, SOAP, JSON
• Strong experience with Data Center environmentals (HVAC, UPS, Fire Control)
• Strong team-player with excellent communication skills
